Description

Large sample books of wallpaper, open to flower designs, are displayed on racks at the front of a long, narrow room. Two men are standing among the display racks. Behind them is a woman standing in a glass-enclosed work area. Near her is a sign that reads “Keep Smiling.” Other signs, including “Red Seal White Lead," which is a brand of paint, and “Muresco,” are hanging toward the back of the room. Hundreds of rolls of wallpaper are horizontally stored on wooden racks along the walls and additional rolls of wallpaper hang from the ceiling. A sign on the shelving at right states "No exchange made in wallpaper." The number “12” has been written on the emulsion side of the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the picture. No number is written in the upper left corner.
