[The Credit Guide Co. office in room 414 of the Security Building]

A man holding several papers is standing behind a long counter near a door with the number “414” and "The Credit Guide Co." painted on the glass. He is looking at a woman who is seated at a roll-top desk. An open ledger or record book and a telephone are on the desk. Visible on the desk behind the ledger and telephone is a sign that reads ”Dubuque Fire and Marine Insurance Company.” Numerous lists written in longhand have been pinned to the side of the counter nearest the desk. On top of the desk are a vase of flowers, a glass bottle, a calendar for June, 1912, a glass full of pencils, three directories and an empty vase. A mirror and small clock hang over a small corner sink, which is partially visible behind the desk. The number “57” has been written on the emulsion side of the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the picture. No number is written in the upper left corner.
