Description

A butcher is standing behind the counter and is writing in a notebook. On the counter are several cuts of meat and a large scale that is labeled, “The Computing Scale Co.—Dayton, Ohio, USA.” Sausages and various cuts of meat hang on hooks on either side of the room. A mounted male deer head hangs high on the wall at the back of the room. The floor behind the counter is covered in sawdust. A day calendar on the wall at right reads, “TUE 11 JUN.” The number “105” has been written on the emulsion side of the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the picture. No number is written in the upper left corner.
