One of the itinerant photographers poses, looking at a can of paint, with a second unidentified man in the foreground. A third man stands, along with a woman, in the background at right, and a fourth man stands in a raised office at the back of the store. Wallpaper and paint products are on display. These advertisements can be read: “’61’ Floor Varnish Sold here with other Pratt & Lambert Varnishes (test it with a hammer),” “Pratt & Lambert’s Celebrated Star Brand Varnishes—Factories in New York, Buffalo, Chicago, London, Paris, Hamburg.” “Closing Out Window Shades,” “Wall Paper, All Grades, Latest Styles,” "Noxall Fast Color Paints are Guaranteed,” and “Vitralite the long life White Enamel—Will not turn yellow, Will not crack—for interior and exterior use.” The Model Wallpaper & Paint Company was located at 950 Main Street. The number “117” has been written on the emulsion side of the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the picture. The number “3” is written in the upper left corner.
