Description

A man, dressed in overalls and a white shirt, is standing near a large, circular laundry tub. The tub appears to be an early industrial washing machine. Pipes and valves are visible protruding from the floor and from a row of horizontally mounted barrels that may be seen along a wall near the washing machine. Galvanized wash tubs with towels or sheets hanging over the sides of the tubs are visible in the work space. Hangers are dangling from a wire extending over the work space in the rear of the room. The number “32” has been written on the emulsion side of the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the picture. The number “5” is written in the upper left corner.
