Seated in his desk chair and holding a document, Oscar Becker is turned toward the camera. A June calendar hangs on the wall behind him. A painting in an ornate frame of a factory with smoke coming out of a smokestack and faint lettering “Dubuque …” hangs on the wall behind the desk. A spittoon and a leather loveseat are visible next to the desk. No number has been written on the emulsion side of the negative in the upper right corner of the picture. The number “2” has been written in the upper left corner.
