Description

A narrow spine of limestone is visible projecting upward from the top of a low hill. Tree cover the hill. An iron bridge, constructed on limestone abutments and spanning a small stream, may be seen below the rock. The photographer’s notes indicate that the rock formation was known as “The Rock of Ages,” and that this image was taken near Durango, Iowa.
