Saint Paul (Geneva, Iowa)

"In late April of 1914, Father Thomas W. Drumm of the Archdiocesan Mission Band preached the first mission in Geneva, at which time the parish received its “Mission Cross.” Father Drumm was later appointed Bishop of Des Moines. Father Michael L. Kerper replaced Father Wieneke in May of 1914. Father Frederick W. McKinley came that year as assistant, probably because of the three missions. Meanwhile the frame church was quickly built at a cost of $7,000. It was dedicated on May 31, 1914, and named for Saint Paul."
