Santa Claus in a French Foreign Legion uniform is kneeling in a fireplace. With him are two girls, each sitting in a giant wooden shoe, one marked "Alsace," and one marked "Lorraine." a woman is looking at them and wringing her hands. There is a French crest beneath the mantle.
