Description

This image is a diagonal view of machinery in a room at a brewery. Although it was photographed in sequence with others at the Dubuque Brewing and Malting Company, this image may have been taken at the Dubuque Star Brewery, located at 4th Street and Levee Front. A large gear, partially submerged into the floor, dominates the photograph. A man stands near some vertical pipes at the rear of the room Stairs may be seen going to an upper level of the complex. No number has been written on the emulsion side of the negative in the upper right corner of the picture. The number “1” has been written in the upper left corner.
