Description

Four women are sitting at a long wooden work table at the Dubuque Brewing and Malting Company. Numerous, dark glass bottles with label reading “Vimalt the health tonic,” may be seen on the table. The women’s task appears to be to pack the bottles into wooden crates. Stacks of filled crates are visible behind the women and in the rear of the large warehouse room. No number has been written on the emulsion side of the negative in the upper right corner of the picture. The number “2” has been written in the upper left corner.
