Description

A tall, wooden scaffold has been erected at the corner of a brick foundation which has been laid next to the existing Y.M.C.A. building, which is partially visible in this image. A low, wooden construction building stands near the foundation. Piles of rubble are also visible. The Henry Stout home was torn down in 1916 and a new building was constructed at a cost of $175,000.00. The cornerstone was placed on April 2, 1916. See image LO 074 for an image of the "old" Y.M.C.A. building. This slide was hand colored by the photographer. The number 1266-2 is written on a label that has been stuck to the lower left corner of the slide.
